Social Media and Content Manager

Job description

As the social media and content manager, you will be a direct line between the brand and our customers. You will demonstrate a proven track record of managing successful social channels and driving growth for the business. You are passionate about storytelling and have a strong creative eye, which you use to develop aesthetically attractive and relevant content—while also making sure to optimise content for the appropriate channels and taking a data-driven approach to managing the brand’s social media and content landscape.


Content Strategy and Creation
• Oversee the monthly content plans for all social channels, including: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
• Collaborate with brand manager and marketing team to develop thorough briefs for photo shoots
• Brief designer on any content needs where gaps are present in the monthly plans
• Manage copywriter and monthly blog content plan; collaborate with digital manager to ensure that all blog content is posted to the site according to the monthly content roadmap
• Leverage content performance insights and learnings to build out a content plan that is data-driven with the objective of increasing reach and engagement
• Attend brand-related events to capture content and tell the relevant stories

Community Management
• Own the day-to-day engagement across all social platforms: liking posts, welcoming new followers, replying to comments and private messages, etc.
• Devise strategy to encourage user-generated buzz and content for the brand across all social channels

Reporting and Insights
• Weekly feedback of social channel performance with recommendations to improve where applicable
• Keeping up to date with trends on social, new platforms, and other relevant information, proactively sharing with the broader marketing team


• Educated to degree level, preferably in marketing or communications
• An ability to do some video and image editing in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro is preferred
• Well organised and ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks
• A strong attention to detail
• Experience working within a fashion, cosmetics or luxury lifestyle company
• Highly creative with the ability to think outside of the box
• Ideally experience within a global environment
• Strong communication and English language skills, both spoken and written
• A passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn
• Solid analytical skills and familiarity with social reporting and planning tools
• Ability and interest to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
