We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual who is keen to lead our startup luxury skincare and supplements brand to the next level. You should be someone who is looking for a challenge, who is willing to go the extra mile and who is ambitious to drive growth in this exciting but challenging market. We are looking for someone to work directly with our founder to create and implement a strong sales and marketing strategy to grow our business via both wholesale and D2C channels. You should have experience in business, marketing and brand development, ideally within the luxury and/or skincare sector. We are looking for a highly creative individual with leadership qualities who is looking for a new challenge to help us create an internationally recognisable brand.
Create and implement development plan for business growth for both D2C and B2B sales
Help develop brand equity and profit by identifying areas of growth both in the UK and internationally and developing new wholesale relationships, and eventually develop a sales team
Together with the founder identify areas for profitable and relevant new product development based on market trends and evidence, and project manage such activity from ideas to launch and beyond
Assess, develop and refine product offering and strategy to generate profitability of business via implementation of a sustainable business plan
Advise the founder by providing insights and regular reporting on marketing performance and setting expectations for short and long term revenue generation and profitability
Assist and advise our founder on developing the in-house team as the business grows for maximum efficiency, growth and profitability
Competitor research and analysis of current and projected trends to ensure our brand remains at the forefront of the industry
Identify and manage cashflow as well as identify and manage funding rounds should this be considered or required to drive growth
Together with our in-house team manage stock holding and fulfilment channels
Manage the creation of new wholesale and retail channels and oversee the creation of marketing materials and completion of setup including Order Forms, New Line Forms, Price Lists, Presentations, point of sale assets and promotional material
Develop five year marketing strategy and idea generation based on market trends and customer insights, as well as your own experience in the sector
Work with PR and Influencer manager to create and execute a strategy around influencers and editors to ensure constant appropriate exposure to key market targets
Manage the full PR and marketing budget for revenue growth while managing the path to profitability
Partner closely with digital marketing team to implement distinct, cohesive and compelling marketing campaigns and assets that best showcase our brand and product offering across SEO, content marketing, PPC and social media campaigns
Manage and develop strategy to build a cross-functional marketing calendar of campaigns and coordinate across the team to ensure activations are successful and profitable
Create and pitch partnerships (ranging from product collaborations to affiliate marketing to events / in-kind sponsorships) to appropriate brands
Help set and enforce the tone + standards for our brand voice and copy across all channels
Talent and Influencers
Work with our influencer manager to develop partnerships within the digital influencer community. (Content Creators, Media Platforms, etc.)
Work with our Influencer manager to Identify and suggest key profiles for categories relevant to Beauty customers & set deliverables.
Oversee and assist with all influencer deliverables including Influencer Trips, monthly Brand Box send-outs, and local Influencer events
Develop programs for influencers and creators from content co-creation to offline events, that support brand initiatives, objectives and KPIs
Identify talent and influencers for campaigns, events and programs that will drive ROI.
PR & Events
Briefing and day to day managing our PR agents to ensure constant appropriate coverage for brand features, new product launches, and product placement.
Sample and Press Release management and general PR management domestic and International when required.
Work directly with PR agents and wholesale partner’s marketing teams to create and execute a strategy around future PR activity.
Oversee alignment of marketing and PR plans as well as the calendar
Attend key industry and cultural events as brand representative
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/digital marketing or higher (MBA ideal)
5-10 years’ experience in luxury with a focus on retailer and e-commerce space
Track record of successfully implementing brand activations, Influencer, and PR Events and working in partnership with retailers
Network of contacts in luxury retail and marketing/PR
Experience of developing opportunities in global markets and delivering aggressive growth in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to create campaigns that deliver increased awareness, footfall, site traffic, and revenue
Highly creative and ambitious individual
Willing to push beyond what is merely asked to grow our brand to an international level
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to work in small startup environment
A strong analytical mind, with the ability to develop solutions and influence key decisions
Well-organised, logical and efficient with outstanding project and management skills
Ability to multi-task work streams and work both independently and collaboratively.
