K-Beauty Inspirations for Global Product Development

On Wednesday 23rd January, we were delighted to welcome Lorna Radford, Managing Director of Enkos Developments and winner of our 2018 Young Achiever Award to the stage, to share her ‘K-Beauty Inspirations for Global Product Development’. 

Drawing on her English-Korean heritage, Lorna shared memories of her mother’s advice to constantly moisturise from a very early age – something given significant value within Korean skincare regimes. She continued by saying that the emphasis is very much on promoting good skin health and a natural aesthetic, as opposed to products designed to cover blemishes. 

With her unique experience, Lorna is able to provide European brands with an insight into upcoming trends – such as the now popular cushion compact which sold 33 million units in Korea in 2015, jelly textures and water drop creams.

K-Beauty is now considered an inspiration to the western Beauty world with dedicated sections in the likes of Selfridges and Sephora.  With thanks to Lorna for joining us.
