Cosmetic Executive Women France
Founded in 1986, CEW France has 400 members, all leading women in the French Beauty industry. Its activities are focused on educating and recognising women in the beauty industry through 3 platforms - Networking, Building Awareness of CEW France, and Active Philanthropy:
Networking
Providing a strong networking organisation which fosters strong links between their members.
The association is organised around groups of volunteers who work under the responsibility of one member of the CEW France Board. They handle the organisations trips abroad, external and internal events, recruitment, and take part in debates on important issues that surround the beauty industry such as: "The Future of Perfumes" and "Make up and Beauty in a Changing World".
Every year networking dinners are held for the members to encourage building connections. Monthly meetings are also held which either feature an important business speaker or an exchange of ideas.
CEW France have also travelled as a group to other countres including:
Japan, USA, London, Russia, China, India. These trips were very heartwarming and focused heavily on our industry. Meetings were held with local entrepreneurs, journalists, agents, distributors and manufacturers.
Building Awareness
Build the awareness of CEW France amongst the industry through "Les Matins du CEW" -round table events which are open to the non-members on "hot topics” such as: Spas, the organic and natural products' industry, the future of perfume, the influence of the new European regulation on the beauty industry, the role of olfaction, or the presentation of a company with an original profile.
Active Philanthropy
CEW France proves that the industry is not targeted to futility but gives back to the community through:
"Les Centres de Beaute de CEW" - in hospitals since 1992, a charity that, supports the important role cosmetics play in a woman's recovery from an illness, aswell as bringing to patients (females and males) what they need to better fight for recovery: dignity, comfort, cocooning and relaxation.
Today CEW France currently have 26 beauticians recruited, trained, managed and remunerated by "Les Centres" who offer free one on one beauty care to patients in 24 CEW beauty centres. (150, 000 beauty treatments have been given to 80 000, patients in the past 5 years)
Products are given by companies and approved by doctors according to the pathologies. Financing is achieved through partnerships with companies such as Marionnaud, taken from the profits of CEW events or for Les Centres (Golf Competitions, Charity dinners. Etc)
Olfactives workshops in hospitals:
Since 2001, in co-operation with the medical body and sponsored by IFF (international flavors and fragrances),CEW France has created and helped set up olfactive workshops in hospitals in order to aid patients suffering from traumas, other diseases or health problems to help them remember, talk, feel and fight for recovery.
Today there are 13 monthly olfactive workshops animated by 2 olfacto therapists and 11 volunteers for CEW patients suffering from head traumas, cardio-vascular accidents, geriatric, oncology, teen-age psychological trouble and autism.

To help develop women's leadership in the cosmetic industry by offering numerous opportunities to network, to connect and learn from other successful women in beauty industry.
Business breakfasts (5 per year instead of 2) -open to the entire industry.
Mentoring programs for members only (5 per year), open primarily to juniors with 2 further sessions open all members.
