About CEW (UK)
Founded in America in 1954, in France in 1986 and the UK in 1992, CEW, a trade organisation with a philanthropic arm, has pursued a mission of nurturing and recognising top executive talent - whilst raising money for their independent initiative 'Cancer and Careers.'
The 800 strong membership of CEW (UK) includes executive women in the cosmetic, fragrance and hairdressing industries and related fields such as advertising, public relations, product development, marketing, media, finance, sales, retail, management and design and packaging. These women hold entry level, middle-management and senior management positions and all enjoy attending CEW's events for the invaluable networking opportunities these events offer.
CEW (UK) mission statement is to advance the professional growth and leadership development of women in the cosmetic industry through: - Career Development Programs - Networking opportunities - Access to industry leaders - Recognition of achievement
It is our aim to help women network and raise their visibility within the beauty industry and, to this end, we manage a programme of events every year for industry leaders and celebrity speakers to share their incredible experience and insight.

Business Events: Including speakers, such as, Tyler Brule, Publisher of 'Monocle', a debate about 'The Entrepreneurs -Why The Beauty industry Needs Them' and 'Digital Space' - all you need to know about the on-line medium
Women in Beauty Series Events: Wendy Lewis spoke about ' Does the Facelift Need a Makeover', Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey on 'Green Beauty -Organics and Naturals', Barbara Daly -celebrating 30 years in the business and 10 years with Tesco and, 'Why We Should Learn to Love Hyaluronic Acid' -everything you need to know about the non-invasive cosmetic treatment market.
The CEW(UK) Beauty Awards: In 2006, CEW (UK) introduced the Beauty Awards to recognise innovation and creativity in beauty products. Voted on by members over several categories comprising skincare, bodycare, makeup and fragrance, the winning products benefit from extensive media coverage and noticeable sales increases. Now in its fourth year, CEW has increased the categories to 27 and added Best British Brand and Best Iconic Beauty Product amongst others.
The CEW(UK) Achiever Awards: Our star studded annual Achiever Awards in October, at which we honour outstanding women in our industry, is a must for everyone.
Mentoring Events: Programmes initially aimed at junior members. Speakers have included: Mary-Ellen Field speaking on Intellectual Property Management, Marigay McKee, Beauty Director at Harrods, Judy Deuchar Director of Merchandising at QVC, Roisin Donnelly our Chairman and Corporate Marketing Director at P&G and Liz Garrett, Managing Director of Coty Prestige UK.
A trade organisation with a philanthropic arm, CEW (UK) raises money for Cancer and Careers, CEW's own independent initiative supporting women with cancer who wish to continue to work. CEW (UK) has now distributed over 40,000 copies of 'Living and Working with Cancer'. These are given free of charge to anyone who requests it.
